This has been made into a stand-alone thread after being split from the main H bucket J Class Fare thread as it was detracting from the main discussion. The points were worth discussing so now been moved here.
And while we’re at it, please try and stay on topic in threads.
Thanks

If the still water was in 500ml glass bottles and now still water is offered in 250/330ml small plastic bottles, then take 2 bottles - what does it matter that it is plastic?

Well you appeared to be ready to offer excuses for the substandard service in my flight, so I had assumed it was fir a rebuttal purpose orchestrated by the company. Perhaps I was mistaken.
Indeed the menu didn't mention an appetizer, only one course and a dessert. That is what was served, and all on one tray together with the drink which I had expected before the tray. It was all cleared fast and in fact my drink was removed despite nit being finished with. why the hurry, when the flight had nearly 109 minutes to run!
I had flown exactly the same sector and time before, frequently. So undoubtedly there was an intentional reduction in service enacted if late. If such cost-cutting was commensurate with a reduction or levelling off of prices, or might be acceptable. But on the contrary the prices (already higher than other aurlibes) went up considerably!
I had been a loyal customer of Emirates for over 10 years, so it is sad that one recent experience will undoubtedly induce me to go elsewhere. Furthermore I reckon others will follow suit.

This rant with its numerous spelling and grammar errors sounds like the enraged OP is banging on his keyboard with a couple of rubber mallets. Slow down and think things over! The numerous reasonable replies have gone completely unheeded and indeed seems to have enraged the OP even further. The clean up time increased from 90 minutes to landing up to 109 minutes later. Which is it? Some folks in Business class like to do some work; ie "Business" on their laptops etc, and appreciate the timely distribution and collection of the meals, so they can actually conduct the "Business" that this class of service ostensibly caters to. If you need an extra drink, just ask, however there comes a time they have to tidy up for the arrival. I strongly suspect the OP's time dilation increased with his outrage, as the standard practice is to clean up about 45 minutes before landing.
Also, in answer to one of his points, and an interesting piece of airplane trivia, the liquid beverages have to be disposed of in the toilets as any sink on the aircraft are vented directly overboard. If red wine or coffee were poured "in the sinks" they would make a brightly colored and unsightly red or black stripe on the side of the white aircraft and so disposal has to be in the toilets which collect in waste tanks that are processed on the ground.

The poster stated that the perrier was now in cans rather than bottles and referred to it as cost cutting

I flew EK385 HKG-BKK (blocked at 3:15, flight time probably 2:50), and it was a single tray one-and-done service with my drink of choice delivered with the tray (or shortly before). The meal was light, with no appetizer choice. It takes a while to prep the trays, and you don't want to be clearing the cabin after top-of-descent.

Metanoia, your flight was probably conti u8ng on yo Dubai so the main meal service works have been on the latter leg. Whereas my flight flew to the final destination DXB-AMM. So there's no reason doe the shoddy service.

You win some, you lose some.
Nothing to stop you taking two bottles or asking for one of the bigger ones they have available.

Ironically the discontinued Voss water was stored in glass that could be recycled.

Aeropix, if you thought my post was a "rant", you evidently decided to post a rant of your Own!
Spelling and grammar mistakes apart, you understood the meaning all to well.
Moving on, the claim that passengers paying for tickets in business class are there just to tap on their notebooks is a throwback to the 80s and sheer nonsense. If you want your food tray cleared fast, that's your choice and Not to be imposed on everyone else by you or the galley crew.
My point is that standards have fallen considerably in business class service on Emirates flights, and its not worth the substantially higher cost anymore. That part is evident.

Thousands of people fly every day on EK business. Just look at this forum, and there are very few complaints compared to other airlines.
