Also, another walkthrough video (shot by AusBT journo Chris Chamberlin at the launch) on the AusBT Facebook page at http://tinyurl.com/y8ksc66n.

I like it. Am flying First on Wednesday but on the A380.
No mention of showers so take it there aren't any? |

Looks good to me. Wonder if I’ll ever get to try it

Any chance there is a bigger bathroom? Roomy enough to comfortably change clothes?

Guys, are you serious?
The new suite is a "facelift" (hello Mercedes-Benz with its famous "facelifts") rather than a "game changer". My biggest concerns are: bathrooms (still the same), lounges and dedicated ground services (still the same and lack of), coffin-like small space of the suite. The in-suite AC gets wasted the moment the door is open, the zero gravity seat position is still to be explored and the TV screen instead of the actual windows - keep those, especially with the binoculars. I did expect more. I would appreciate a proper double bed and more "SIA wasted space". |
Am I the only one who isn't terribly impressed? Looks nice, but a little claustrophobic. Not sure where the 40 sq ft went. Reminds me of a larger EY F 787 suite.
Between the new EK F and SQ F, I actually prefer EY F. The Apartment clocks in at 39 sq ft but makes better use of its space. |

I think people underestimate the amount of engineering and planning some of these features require, it's more than a facelift, but yes it is not a complete re-imagination either. I've always preferred EK F to EY F, having flown both, primarily because I find EK F to be much more comfortable, even if EY F is roomier. |

The post 9 minutes before yours wasn't terribly impressed, and a few others in this thread.
That said, there's nothing much wrong with the current F IMO. Compare it to the European carriers, and it's better than most and equal to others. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this over the current F. And I'd still prefer the A380 with the showers and bar. Has anything been said about retrofitting the current 777s? |

I'm curious about the next gen J seats. Sounds like they might be fully enclosed. |
