Emirates has unveiled the new first class cabin for their 777s at the Dubai Air Show on November 12th, 2017.
Notably, the new F cabin is fully enclosed from floor to ceiling, has a reduction from 8 seats to 6 total, had virtual windows for the center cabins and features video-based room service ordering.

I have always said the use of the space in F is not as good as it should be, the mini bar would be better behind the light in that relatively useless space. Allowing for a slightly wider seat / bed and I would love the Singapore style bed, also the desk I find quite useless and drinks go onto it not ideal when your reclining so another thing I would remove or reduce.
Also better ventilation at the sides on the A380 as when the doors are closed it becomes stuffy and very warm.
However any change should be interesting.

+1 also for better & smoother ventilation
As for desk, you need one for snack basket or after-shower tea, but, it can be placed elsewhere as objects obstruct the screen. As an aside, I never understood the use of the half moon set of cream and scent. Why aren't they in the amenity pouch and save space ?

Some have mentioned the fact that it appears most likely that EK89/90 (from Dec 5) to Geneva is most likely to get the new F seats. I know there are no guarantees, but does anyone know if this is still likely to be the case?

They might announce route for first flight but won't pronounce in general which routes I think, they don't usually make such announcements

I'm also curious to see what improvements they've made in Y and J. The 777 could easily be visually improved in Y with the faux wood window trimmings found in the A380 for instance.

Great to see EK willing to actually innovate and cut seat capacity in favour of improved hard product and stay at the top of the game - if course we don't know exactly what the new hard product is yet, and it may be years before the majority of the fleet has it, but still a promising step in the right direction.

Just looking for a reason why I would need to fly to either GVA or BRU in the next couple of months...

Unless I'm mistaken, it appears that award seats for these flights with the first F cabins have been blocked from Dec 1st onwards. Is anyone seeing anything differently?

I'm in a flight back from Belgium right now, doubt I'll be back anytime soon - not that I'd be flying in F but never know what creative backdoor I could've found
