Well I have the first or what will be four for this trip, and they are rather good. Much better than AF or Cathay, and on a par with BA First. The surprise omission, for me, is actually the lack of a pen.

As you are comparing with BA First, in each EK suite, you have a writing kit (with pen, letter paper and envelope), as well as a travel well kit with sniff boxes (aromatherapy) and various creams.

And slippers!!! :D

Actually, I'm comparing Emirates business (A380, in this case) with BA First....

Because in an increasingly virtual world people don't use pens anymore? Many are more interested in finding Pokemons than corresponding or writing things down it seems. ;)

A pen is very useful in an amenity kit because many countries still require completion of arrival forms.

Are you relying on airlines to give you a pen to complete your immigration form ?!? ;)

EK FA will gladly provide you one, though it is a very cheap plastic one. But, you probably won't be picky if the entrance into the country is at stake ! :D:D

I normally have a pen with me but sometimes it runs out or has been given to someone else, so it is good to have backup.
