Will be flying from LAX to DEL then from DEL to DXB and then eventually DXB to LAX.
Two members of my party are flying business, one is flying economy. We all booked our tickets separately. Given that two of us are flying business, will they allow the third passenger flying in economy class to tag along when the chauffeur service picks the other two to drop off at LAX, then drop off at hotel in DEL, pick up from hotel in DEL, then drop off at hotel in DXB, pick up from hotel in DXB, and then drop off at home at LAX? They won't ask any questions unless you have so much luggae it can't reasonably fit in. |

Are you able to ask ahead of time, or is it an on the spot request?
On arrival though, they will assign based on luggage and pax number in the booking - i agree 2 cars might be safer. |
I've done that before - they didn't even ask where the extra guest had turned up from.

i usually ask on the spot, but if you want to be sure of getting a vehicle that will fit everyone and the luggage, ask ahead of time when the company calls to pick up.

For some reason, Dubai Connect has appeared on my MAN-DXB-SGN flight next week. I purposely booked the long (around 14 hour) connection to split up the flight. I've already booked the airside hotel and pre-paid
Anyway, we've now got a choice of hotels :) If we choose to take up Dubai Connect, how does the car service work? It's not giving me the option to book a car for the connection. I know we can just turn up at the CD desk when we arrive, but will they also book the car back to the airport the following morning? Cheers! |

I've not done a Dubai Connect since 2005! |
@DEL not a problem.( They will call in the morning for a late PM flight or the night before for a early AM flight. They have never called me in Dubai. No idea about LAX).
@DEL You can tell them the number of pax if you want. The last time I checked , EK doesn't pass on that info anyway. I.e if 2 pax travelling J (i.e 2 pax eligible for cars) and if only 1 car is requested then that's all the company knows. They will also send a text with the drivers mobile number and car reg number in case u have to contact the driver. I would suggest ordering 2 cars for 3 pax(unless you are travelling hand luggage only) When I travel with Mrs.ukdoctor we usually order 2 cars . The boot space is not great on those mercs and they can just about fit in 2 checked in bags and 2 cabin bags.Anything more and it's a struggle even after keeping it in the front pax seat. We go in one car and the luggage follows us in another car ;-) |
I've done this before. I phoned Emirates beforehand and they simply added the economy passenger to the chauffeur booking. No problems at all. You might be safer doing this rather than trying to deal with the chauffeur company
|
A couple of years ago, my son was due to travel on the same day as me - not on emirates. The chauffeur turned up and i asked him if my son could jump a ride. He said no problem but there would be an 'administrative fee' of £25, which I had to pay him (cash please Sir) and I am pretty sure I know where that went - administrating his back pocket no doubt

Once I arrive on DXB-MUC in T1, I need to head to T2 to catch a flight on a separate ticket. Can I book an EK chauffeur for this? :D

Yes I do realise that, especially given the proximity of terminals at MUC.. but it is not a completely silly question in the greather scheme of things, I've had this question myself in BOM with EY before
How long is the walk though? I've never done this before. |
