Yes have a magnum on Newton Johnson Pinot noir that got 5 stars in the platters guide
I took a photo of the tin during my last trip report here

It was gourmet house with no markings as to where it was from...[/QUOTE
Great , yes the use very little "fancy " packaging as the consumer doesn't see the actual container and also good to see you've been to the Hemel en Arrden valley .... good wines

On a related topic, I have been served caviar that was definitely past its prime on a couple of recent sectors over the past two weeks. I suspect it might be a refrigeration issue... Caviar is so, SO prone to going off if not constantly refrigerated, that I've always wondered whether the cold chain can really be maintained when catering a plane. Interestingly it's an issue that I had never experienced before on EK.

The short answer is no. Caviar is not served on the shorter sectors. I cannot remember what the exact cutoff is (some of the experts here might know), but for reference on certain routes around the 4 hours length, it is not present. You can check the menu for your route on Emirates' website.

Caviar is served on non breakfast flights as of approx 4.5-5 hours of flight duration. If I am not wrong, the shortest flight you will find it on is IST however don't take it as benchmark as some flights a bit longer are not getting it. Looks like EK wants to offer it's full premium service on this flight to set a benchmark against TK.

I could be wrong but it looks like on the currently loaded first menus it has been cut off or typed in wrong..... it says Appetisers, and it describes the condiments associated with Caviar as the first thing, but doesnt say Caviar in bold like the other appetisters - where the name is bolded and then smaller font description - see the attached screenshot - all the menus (n=10) all look the same - so think its just an IT error?
