On a related topic, I have been served caviar that was definitely past its prime on a couple of recent sectors over the past two weeks. I suspect it might be a refrigeration issue... Caviar is so, SO prone to going off if not constantly refrigerated, that I've always wondered whether the cold chain can really be maintained when catering a plane. Interestingly it's an issue that I had never experienced before on EK.
I wonder if it is related to Emirates new unlimited cavier and having to onboard more of it for each flight to accommodate? Potential for more left over means potential for it getting warm as they move it from flight to flight.
