Of course, when a flight goes from J9 D9 Z9 Y9 H9 K0 N0 B0 O0 V0 U0 Q0 I0 S0 W0 T0 X0 L0 to J9 D9 Z9 Y9 H9 K9 N9 B9 O9 V9 U3 Q3 I0 S0 W0 T0 X0 L0 you will get lower prices. The question is whether they release new low published fares for those U and Q classes or remain with summer fares which are usually only for the higher classes (up to V IIRC).

I usually wouldnt, BUT as I posted before my 'H' fare was only $140 more then what it would have cost me. Also this way I'll end up with 78,000 miles and can try JetBlue for afew flights, besides that I have 6 airTrans tkts from that Wendys deal to use up, that me me a couple of $ in gas Only.

BTW if the fare had been what it is now for my dates of $1000 which would be $600+ less then I paid, I would be in the back on a 'S' & 'V' fare.

also with Aug being the HIGH season and the Planes usually completely full, I didnt want to have what I experienced when I came back in June.

I also had an AF tkt via my DL miles in Biz but decided i'd rather pay CO for atkt then do a EWR-BOS (wait 3 hrs)-CDG (wait 2 1/2 hrs)-TLV and return TLV-ATL (wait 2 1/2 hrs)-EWR

All I've got to say is that after spending the last 2 years trying to figure out what all the fare codes are over at American Airlines, I have no idea what ANY of this means. Grrrr....

Apparently I'm not running with the right crowd as I've never heard of these sayings and I've been living here for 17 years.

No insult. Just a very common figure of speech nowadays.

Back to topic. An article in the "Israeli" newspaper today says reservations on most airlines for Sept still look much higher than Sept 2005 and Aug is not far behind Aug 2005. They guess most of the people are optimistic the situation will end soon and Sept should be a great month to visit and travel.
They say LY are suffering more cancellations than the foreign airlines.

Surely it would be "ach sheli" if a person was talking about their own friends, no? Or does this only get used by people referring to their friend's friend?
