Promises, promises.
First it was supposed to open in April 2016, then April 2017, then Fall 2017, then to Winter 2017-2018, and now its March 2019!
Combined with the constantly revised opening date of the Jerusalem - Tel Aviv high speed train, this is horrible project management on the part of the Transportation minister and the entire department. Repeated delays and cost overruns on the two major showcase infrastructure projects of the last decade.

... Except of course Istanbul new airport, which will undoubtedly be opened as scheduled in October...
But November 2018 is not the original date. It’s only the current opening date after some postponement.

The new airport is a point of national pride for them...
Israel can't even get its story straight on the tel aviv-Jerusalem railway, let alone complete it, and that's a critical piece of infrastructure. unlike Ramon airport, I mean... who cares? The old airport was walkable from the strip.

Israelis are some of the most patriotic people out there. But in my opinion, when it comes to national pride, Israelis perhaps have too little. (But it's better with too little than too much.)
