In-Flight Power
Does anyone know the in-flight power situation on LY? To the best of my knowledge, every F and C seat (772/744) has 1 power port, that accepts North American plugs and 110 volts, and that for every 3 seats, there are 2 ports in Y on those planes. The exception that I have no knowledge of is "ELH."
Is anyone knows more info, please let me know! (If that's not true, if there are other exceptions... What's with the 767s...)
Thanks!

60 Hz indicates the frequency at which it is transmitted. This means that the polarity is switched from + to - back and forth 60 times per second.
Most transformers today are designed to handle a power input ranging from 100 V to 240 V with a frequency of 50-60 Hz.
For more information, consult Utility frequency and Alternating current

I meant, it is by most carriers (ie: most airlines) 110-115 V AC 60 Hz.

- Is LY 110 V, 220 V, or does it automatically switch?
- How many watts?
- What interface? (North American plus, emPower, DC, cigarette lighter outlet...)
- Which seats have it? (All F seats, 2 of every 3 or 1 of every 2 in Y on 777...)

I was aware of most of the information. The information I'm looking for is:
- Is LY 110 V, 220 V, or does it automatically switch?
- How many watts?
- What interface? (North American plus, emPower, DC, cigarette lighter outlet...)
- Which seats have it? (All F seats, 2 of every 3 or 1 of every 2 in Y on 777...)
- 110 V, the transformer does the switch automatically for you
- might be limited to 75-100 W per seat
- should accept US plugs for sure, and most likely the europlug as well
- according to seatguru, all seats feature a powerport.

There's a built-in transformer? I'm aware of what a transformer is, as well as the difference between a transformer and an adapter. I'm asking, say I have an appliance that only take 220 Volts, and does NOT switch automatically on its own, (which I would generally use an transformer with,) do I need a transformer to plug it in on LY, or are there built-in transformers? - might be limited to 75-100 W per seat
Might be limited from 60-100 I wanna what that limit is - should accept US plugs for sure, and most likely the europlug as well
There's also the British one... - according to seatguru, all seats feature a powerport.
We all know the reliability of SeatGuru

Hi
I have a general question regarding ordering a Bonus ticket
for example i saw this offer on elal site
http://www.elal.co.il/ELAL/Hebrew/Hi...et_prices.html
can i use this offer code on elal website somewhere ?
or my only option is to call them over the phone ?
I could not find any place on the Matmid portal to put an offer code to get the discount.

Preferred Seat
The are three forms of a "preferred seat":
F seat with C service:
This ONLY happens on routes served with 744/772. If, a few days before the flight, there is no F demand, LY will cancel F for that specific flight, and F seats will be preferred C seats. If there is F service (even if it's only one, non-status passenger, who used to points to purchase an F seat, in the F cabin,) no one, not even a TPL on a C fare, can book F seats with C service.
If there is no F service for your specific flight, the following are the prices:
Please note: You can reserve the service starting with check-in at the airport. TPL/PL can reserve this in advance with one additional companion, free of charge. GLs can reserve this for free with one companion, starting with check-in.
C seat with Y service
If not all C seats are filled, (this happens also on flights where F seats are used as part of the C cabin), you can purchase an "upgrade" that will allow you to sit in the C cabin with Y service. This is separate from the on-board upgrade to C that can be purchased.
Please note: You can reserve the service starting with check-in at the airport. TPL/PL can reserve this in advance with one additional companion, free of charge. GLs can reserve this for free with one companion, starting with check-in.
Preferred Seats in Economy Class
All EL AL e-ticket holders can reserve a preferred seat online, up until 24 hours before the flight. TPLs +2, PLs, and GLs can book the seats in advance. Otherwise, people on the waiting list will get these seats.
This is the list of priority:
The fees are:
*What are short, medium, and long range flights?
Short range = Greece, Egypt, Bucharest, Budapest, Prague, Kiev, Sofia
Medium range = Western Europe, Moscow, St. Petersberg, Warsaw
Long range = USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Africa, India
- First Class seat with Business Class service
- Business Class seat with Economy Class service
- Economy Class seat with extra legroom, such as exit row or bulkhead

- Medium range flights - $249 or 349 Matmid points
- Long range flights - $499 or 749 Matmid points

Flying With Infants
Any child up to the age of 24 months is classified as an "infant," and requires an escort.
Book as early as possible for best accommodations. There are a limited amount of cots/bassinets on board. Bassinets are available free of charge (first come, first serve) for infants up to age 9 months.
See Flying With Infants for more info.
Infants are also entitled to free luggage: Baggage Allowance on EL AL Flights

The site:
http://www.elal.co.il/ELAL/English/A...lAlloeance.htm
lists the rules for checked luggage and includes the details for an infant stroller or car seat (see bottom of page) that can be an additional piece of luggage.
There is a loophole here since it does not state that you have to be traveling with an infant and I know people who have actually used this loophole to bring to Israel a newly purchased stroller or car seat as a 3rd piece of luggage.
