Travelling with LY on an LX ticket - can I use my PL benefits?

If I book an LX flight operated by LY (code share) would my PL benefits in terms of booking my seat in advance etc apply? Or would customer service not be able to do that for me if my ticket is LX issued?

As I understand it, your Plat benefits won't kick in until OLCI opens.

You should ask your travel agent to put your PL in the reservation of the EL-AL segment (even if its code-share, You are also entitled to point if its EL-AL metal), Or you can call EL-AL (03-9771111) and notify them in advance...

I can see LY being cooperative an extending seating privileges, etc. to a PL on a codeshare ticket on LY metal - but I kind of doubt that LY will give Matmid points for the segment.

similar question

I often fly ZRH-TLV on LY ticket with LX metal.
Do you think I should get lounge access (GL flying in Y)?

As long as your ticket is coded from LY, I'm pretty sure you can

Flying LY on Swiss Code Share

I am flying Swiss in a couple of weeks and one of the flights is with LY with a Swiss flight number.

I don't want to put my LY matmid number in the booking because I need the miles for the non-LY flight to go to my Miles & More card (for the status match) and I'm afraid that even if somehow I could get my PL number in the booking (although I don't see quite how as I am booking it on swiss.com) that could screw up the miles goin into my Miles & More account.

Does anyone know if LY will somehow recognise my PL and give me any benefits, for example if I call them or at the airport?

If anyone here can help me with some advice i wiould be very grateful.

This week I flew my return leg TLV-GVA on a Swiss Ticket with LY Metal in C.

I originally gave my Staralliance number but did not get credited any points because it was LY metal. I then gave my LY number an didn't get credited because its a Swiss Ticket!

What do i do?

Crediting can take some time. First of all, you won't get any EQM (in terms of elite status, Frequent Traveller, Senator...) because the flight was on LY. For that, you need to be on *A metal or specific LX (or M&M) partners, and LY is NOT one of them.
But for RDMs, (redeemable or award miles,) give it some time. If a weel has passed and miles haven't posted, contact LX. The thing about miles with codeshares and glitches is patience.
