The part that freaked me out when I tried the McD's version (the breakfast chicken biscuit) was that it tasted like dill, even though there were no pickles. So not only do they use artificial pickle flavor instead of real pickles, but they're also too cheap to make a non-pickle version for breakfast. Wow.
That may be why they discontinued the breakfast version, despite keeping the ingredients. I do like the McD's sandwich, although I will typically get it with the pickles on (and "no butter" which doesn't add flavor, and just leaves the bun feeling greasy.)

well, i'm sure the consistency around the world holds up when it's basically the most artifical, preservative-laden and processed food on the planet.

Didn't McDonald's give away sandwiches both at breakfast and in the afternoons or evenings for a few different days trying to convince people it was as good as, or better than Chick-fil-a's items?

"A lot of people really respect CFA for their values"

Great values. Unless you happen to be Jewish, or non-Christian (Hobby Lobby closes on Sundays, too); a lot of people out there do their shopping, and hence fast-food dining, on Sundays. And the two chicken sandwiches I tried (different locations, years apart) were chewy, gristly, and very greasy; basically inedible.

Then it doesn't sound like you're missing anything. Why do you care if they are open on Sundays or not?

The values of creating a family day, etc., is different than the values of creating a fundamentalist homophobic organization that participates in religious discrimination. The restaurant exists "to glorify God" (in the words of its founder). They've also promoted religious groups via toys given out in the kids' meals. Christian prayers during training sessions? If you're a Muslim and don't want to participate, no franchise for you (and you'll be fired).

I couldn't find any proof of this statement. The suit was settled on undisclosed terms, and Chick Fil A denied that Aziz Latif was fired because he didn't participate in the prayer meeting. Do you know for a fact that this was the reason he was fired?

CFA is just okay. It tastes like something that costs a couple bucks more than McDs. I'd rather have Arbys.

I've heard they have staff meetings on Sundays so the whole premise of being closed for their staff to have quality family/worship time is bull.

dchrist, you seem awfully defensive about chik fil a, to the point of insulting others. What gives? (Or is the answer in your handle?)

Whether true or not, having a meeting is far different than working an entire shift.
