The part that freaked me out when I tried the McD's version (the breakfast chicken biscuit) was that it tasted like dill, even though there were no pickles. So not only do they use artificial pickle flavor instead of real pickles, but they're also too cheap to make a non-pickle version for breakfast. Wow.
That may be why they discontinued the breakfast version, despite keeping the ingredients. I do like the McD's sandwich, although I will typically get it with the pickles on (and "no butter" which doesn't add flavor, and just leaves the bun feeling greasy.)
