"Sometimes when I put something full of flavor in my mouth, I close my eyes and feel like I'm flying-drifting into eternity, above and beyond all the craziness of the world below, and I dream that all there is in the world is love, harmony and bacon. In an effort to forward world peace, I plan to be the first person to send bacon into space. Im in negotiations with the Russian government to purchase a seat on their next space shuttle where Ill place a box with our Thirteen Bacon Combo. I keep calling the Bush White House seeking a better offer, but I cant get a call back. Maybe they only eat beef in Texas? Wouldnt it be a national embarrassment if the Russians were the first to send bacon into space?

There's a place in Chicago called the Prodigal Son that has baskets o'bacon every Wednesday night.
Their solution to the dilemma on how to cook so much bacon? Deep fry.
From Metromix:
This atypical Lincoln Park bar has live music six nights a week and a menu featuring 12 different types of grilled cheese. Among the 12, the artichoke cheese and chicken pesto are most unusual. Available for munching are fried pickles, mini-tacos and corn dogs. Wednesday nights offer all-you-can-eat bacon (um, yeah) and there are plenty of imported beers to choose from.</font>
