Was in the mood for Taco Bell today.. and they had a flat break steak thingy..

It was ok.. I mean I paid for the big box like $6..

Needed a high in cholesterol fix.. and ended up being reasonably cheap..

katz's deli in nyc...pastrami is indeed awesome, as is the corned beef.

You actually are including this in a thread called "What's your Favorite Sandwich?" :confused::confused:

As a prolific poster yourself .... you'll appreciate the elasticity of having a thread starting point to where it develops - and you'll not begrudge therefore (I'm sure) the posting of an adverse review of a flat bread steak sandwich experience at a Taco Bell.

I found it interesting and informative. :)

There are few enough of us enthusiastic eaters and cookers around for us to talk to, without us adding a new barrier to thread contribution with a new vigilant thread policeman.:D;)

So to anyone thinking of saying anything food related on almost any subject on almost any thread - I think we should say ..... Bless and Welcome.

The steak flat bread thingy.. is in fact a flatbread sandwich..;)

Oh I'm sure it is, I just don't associate "Taco Bell" and "sandwich" in my head :p

I mentioned the flatbread subway sandwich I'm frequenting in the mornings as well..

Taco Bell has this 'far-out dude' type of marketing.. on the bottom of the box it says.. hopefully you removed the contents of this box before reading this message..

Lots of stuff at Taco Bell is unconventional..

And ... more importantly ..... if we were to exclude anything between flatbreads as sandwiches we'd not be welcoming anything Greek, Turkish, Lebanese .......

It had better, because a falafel sandwich from Oliva (Turkisch mini chain in München) used to be on my favourite list. Sadly, Oliva too has cut back in the last year and it fell off my list. :( My other favourite fast food pita sandwich guy didn't return after the Hertie/Karstadt food court renovation.

Speaking of Greek.. the Opa Breakfast flat bread is yummy..

They put egg white into the flat bread, with fresh veggies and tzatiki sauce.. quite a different yummy experience..

Flash fried steak and onion baguette for me. A Philly cheese steak without the cheese I guess!
