LE SPINNAKER in Deauville, France

perhaps the BEST Lobster I have ever experienced.

We stayed in Deauville for 4 days and toured Normandy.(offseason rates at the Lucien Barre) hotel were to great to resist.

Restaurant was recommended by our conceirge and we were delighted.

If your in the neighborhood, highly recommended

However, the Gumbo Shoppe in Aston, PA is still open with similar food (in a cheaper, far less pretentious store front!)
If cajun food in the PHL area is what you are looking for I would highly recommend High Street Cafe in West Chester.

Oistins, Barbados

I would go back to Oistins, Barbados to the Fishnet for any fresh grilled fish and potatoes on any Friday.

The best fish I've ever had. Just don't sit on the table top of the picnic table or you'll get an earful about manners... I was put in my place and was happy to see a culture that actually stood up for it's civilities... felt like I was 6 years old at my great grandparents house

Ah, Virgils. Nothing short of amazing. Right up there with the Blues City Cafe in Memphis, and Arthur Bryants in KC. Yum.

Believe it or not

Dearborn, MI for the fantastic Lebanese Food, especially:

Fatoosh Tawook at La Shish
Spinach Pies and Zatar (flat bread with a mixture of sesame seeds, thyme, sumac, and oregano on flat bread) fresh out of the oven at Golden Bakery

Fortunately, I work close to the Ceadar Grille in Lisle, IL, which comes very close.
