Portions of the post that previously appeared in this space has been deleted. I would provide you with a reason why, but doing so would likely be against the TOS.

France: pastries (and anything baked)

India: yum

Australia: fish

UK: high tea

Singapore: hawker stalls (have stopped there more than once for chily crab dinner). bring $$, it has gotten very expensive.

California: summer fruits from farmers markets

Hawaii: (living here, this probably doesn't count). pineapple, bananas (nothing like Central American, with hundreds of varieties), papaya, lillikoi, starfruit, hayden mangoes, avocados (some weight over 5 lbs), rambuttan, longon. these stand out as the best available anywhere. we're talking farmers market or home-grown, not grocery store.

The omelette's are probably cooked early in the morning and then thrown in the oven to be kept warm until you order it hours later.

I would give anything to go back in time to sit with my grandmother, eat a slice of her chocolate cream pie, and introduce her to her greatgrandson.

Otherwise,
Manaus & Curitiba, Brazil - churrascaria & flavored cachaa & caipirinhas.
Pordenone, Italy - fantastic coffee and pastries at local coffe shops.
Plzen, Czechia - beer

There are others.

Yes, I am Asian and living in KUL; and I love Panda Express

Sure we have plenty of Chinese food over here in KUL & SIN, but I prefer the stronger flavour in Panda's cooking. The fried shrimp is also always crispy and everything is hot and fresh.

On a recent trip to HNL, I discovered they have a new noodle dish chow ho-fun (or is this dish exclusive to HNL outlets ? ). The flavour is just right and the texture of the ho-fun perfect. Certainly beats any Fried Kway Teow I have ever tasted in PEN (or anywhere in Malaysia or SIN)

El Bulli--carmelized quail egg
Palm Beach Apizza, New Haven--lobster pizza

Now those are two really different destinations for sure!

I'm sure the chinese food selections in KUL is comparable to those in CGK, SIN or even BKK. IMHO, it's nowhere close to Panda Express' quality of food.

And you said you preferred Panda Express because of its "stronger flavour"? Here's a suggestion .. walk up to your local chinese restaurants and ask them to put LOTS and I mean A LOT of MSG on your food and voila, you just have yourself a Panda Express food
