Loving Auchetoshan 21yr Old at the moment.

Also, out of interest, does anyone know of any sites that one can buy Scotch on and will post to California?

At my parents' last week I decided to get some scotch with my dad. He said to pick anything. So I poured a couple glasses. He tried to guess what it was. I told him - he said, "wait, you mean this is the St. Magdalene distillery stuff?"

Oops. It was very nice, but I still like Oban and Macallan better.

Schneider's of Capitol Hill ships to IN, even though they shouldn't... Will probably ship to CA as well, but I thought your liquor taxes were lower.

Why don't you just Google it ? It's the internet ! I bet you can get a 15 year old transsexual hooker to deliver your Scotch with a box of Cuban Cigars, a bag of China White, and a roasted American Bald Eagle !

Wally's Wine & Spirits on Westwood Blvd. and Twenty Twenty Wine Merchants on Cotner Avenue carry it.

The C2/C3 United Club at EWR is doing Glenfiddich tastings. I sampled the 15, 18, and 21. I liked the 15, but the 18 was too oaky and the 21 was too concentrated and sweet for my tastes.

I've never had the 12, but I figured I can get my hands on a taste of that one elsewhere easier than the more aged ones, so I skipped it (he probably would have given me a taste of the 12 had I asked).

The Glenfiddich 12 has recently replaced Glenlivet 12 as my "everyday" scotch at home. It's smoother and less sweet than the Glenlivet. If you liked the 15 more than the 18 I'm pretty sure you'll like the 12, especially given its reasonable price.

You should stop by a Delta Sky Club sometime -- I think next month they're offering a Clan MacGregor tasting...:D

Glenrothes 94 isn't so rare. You sure you can't get some calling 3 or 4 BevMos ? I just Googled it, this site came up 1st, and here are 5 places that will ship it to you. + there's a store in Carmel with some that will as well. Work the search function for your Duncan whatever too. LINK:http://www.wine-searcher.com/find/gl.../1994/usa-ca-y ps: save me some Bald Eagle !

Interesting...according to the Glenfiddich guy, the 12 and the 18 are both aged in the same casks, so I'll be curious to see if your prediction I'll like the 12 (when I didn't care for the 18) is accurate. I'm guessing it won't be so overly oaky since it spends less time in the wood.

Just posted on the Omni Costco thread, but I should have posted here. My Costco has $700 bottles of 40 year Costco branded scotch. Anyone??
