The buttermilk ranch mention really does not help their case!

Fun Michelin Starred Experience - Field Restaurant Prague

Field Restaurant in Prague was amazing...I had a great experience. It's Michelin One Star. Great service, wonderful presentation. Amazing value for the money and the quality. Happy to share the video of my experience if you're interested in seeing!

Ordered in Jungsik (2* in NYC) for my birthday dinner recently. Excellent food, even as delivery. Really loved their take on a tuna hand roll, as well as the crispy rice drenched in uni.

Returned to Les Amis , no Chinese or Vietnamese , for few days though even if day 8 of 15 Lunar New Year 🧧 / Tet celebrations , as those restaurants are jam packed ! What with ongoing pandemic restrictions ..

The butter from Loire Valley

Mushrooms & potatoes

The crab

Comte souffl with black truffle

Enjoying the cheese souffl

Rum souffl with honey ice cream

Dark chocolate 72% tart

Petit fours - canale , Montblanc , milk chocolate squares

The menu which was expanded on 😉

Not all courses for today are shown as photos of them are in earlier post .

So pleased another FTer introduced me to this Michelin star restaurant , Lerouy , in the “ old “ part of Singapore .

My meal was the variation of this .

Menu surprise

Miniature testubes - lemongrass & .. mine was the one on the right - lighter , sadly without the beef

Mine with the cooked shrimp

Refreshing seaweed / lettuce , love the finesse with mother of pearl spoon - hoping in vain for some caviar

Wholemeal sourdough - chance for playing with food , butters in this case , what a palette ! Forgot to take a photo of my bread art

Cured anchovy , sans anchovy for one , just the olives

Beautifully plated salmon

More truffle please

There is a scallop hidden beneath

This cabbage and the accompaniments - absolutely delicious !!

The minute ( to me ) main

Desserts in red

Petit fours Loved the canale variation & dark chocolate pyramid in particular

Was pleasantly surprised , impressed , with the meal . The curved counter seating arrangement was alright as we could see the action in front of us as the chefs prepared our meal .

With Covid-19 vaccinations in full swing , happening in many countries now , am really looking forward to travels later this year and to enjoy meals around the world . Whilst globe trotting through meals has been enjoyable , really miss flying and being “ there “ , no quarantine on arrival please !

Contra (1*, NYC) has an abbreviated delivery menu available. TBH, quite unimpressive compared to what others are doing. I am sure that part of it is a cost thing - Contra was a very affordable 1* experience (and very, very good to boot) in the 'before' times, but their takeout Chinese-oriented menu compares fairly poorly against either other 1* restaurants offering takeout, or more casual spots doing slightly elevated takes on Chinese food. We had it last night, and all I can say is...meh.

I also ordered a cocktail special from Atomix (2* in NYC) where they provided 2 cocktails, plus a 'Suntory gift set'. Gift set was a tablecloth, a pen, and some pins one could stick on their backpack. Vastly overpriced for the cocktails I can order for delivery here, and better in flavor profile and creativity to boot.
