Mmmmm, that looks so good! Took our nephews to the Cubs game last weekend. After a little searching, I finally found a concession stand selling the Wrigley Smokie, something I haven't had in a few years because they keep moving things around. Covered in mustard, grilled onions, tomato, and sport peppers. It may even have been worth the 15 min wait in line due to silly COVID line re-configurations.

For any other searchers, it's sold at the stall in far right field, last food stand on that side. :)

Years ago, they sold Oscar Mayer Smokie Links all over the ballpark. On weekends, friends would gather at my house on Racine Ave. and we’d walk to the park and sit in the bleachers. Smokies were usually on the menu. I was exited a few years ago when they started selling this new version (Vienna, I think), so good with the grilled onions.

Yep - I've been a partial season ticket holder for a long time. It was only just a few years ago that they "improved" all the concession stands and Smokies became a specialty itm. To be honest, it's probably better overall, but I miss some of the old stuff. And the old limited menu meant you didn't have to walk back and forth between stands trying to decide after you've had a few beers :).

Experimenting with asparagus in the gas pizza oven. It turned out great with light charring of the tips for flavor.

Roast chicken thighs with potato / scallion with capers in the sauce
nyt recipe - next time I’ll use a rack for the chicken and I’ll need more cooking time than the recipe’s 30-35 minutes (at 450!)

Last night's dinner was Costco frozen meatballs heated in Rao's marinara, served atop fried polenta slices.

Tonight we're having my wife's homemade pork and prawn sinigang.

Mr. CE's out tonight so I raided the freezer...made TJ's scallion pancake topped with a fried egg and drizzle of soy sauce, which was a very tasty combo!

Carry out from Lou Malnati. The nice thing about their rewards program is that instead of getting, e.g., "a medium cheese pizza," like some might do, you get the pizza with whatever you like on it. So, a $29.00 pizza for free!

Went to my dad’s golf club tonight and had the Dynamite Scallops (topped with Dynamite Sauce, broiled, and topped with furikake chili threads, scallions and breadcrumbs) and the roasted Brussels sprouts (topped with aioli and Parmesan).

And some of my mom’s tater tots, which were deep fried and crispy.

They serve your mom's tater tots at your dad's golf club? It must really be his club!
