So tried converting those dumplings into potstickers... unfortunately the skins/wrappers/whatever did not survive the crisping without ripping. So the ones that didn't get tossed into the frying pan got sent to the freezer. What was left were effectively pork and shrimp "meatballs" and bits of torn dumpling wrapper skins. Didn't want them to go to waste so sprinkled some maggie sauce and crisped them to become dinner...

And some instant mee goreng (just cuz)

Had dinner at Caesars Bacchanal Buffet.

It's definitely better than the Bellagio's, which isn't all that high of a bar these days, I suppose. Excellent high quality prime rib (cooked perfectly), King Crab legs (appeared to be Alaksan, but not sure) and had some lobster claws. Probably the largest selection of quality fare I've seen in a buffet in a very long time. There is just no way to eat or even sample everything during a single sitting. For desserts, they had a crepe station, which I don't recall ever seeing a buffet before.

At $80 bucks and a long line even before opening, not sure I'd go there if it weren't comped and a TR Diamond or up.

King? Most places pile up the vastly inferior snow crab...glad to hear about the King although Caesars is definitely one of the more expensive buffets. I agree about Bellagio ....the last time I went a few years ago I had a BOGO & it still wasn't worth it.

Yeah, they appeared the King ones though probably not the very high quality Alaskan ones I recall during the pre-pandemic days. They were nonetheless excellent and I enjoyed many servings of them. This buffet is really excellent with some premium and high quality offerings, assuming one overcomes the sticker shock.

By the way, the service I received during my visit was the best I've ever experienced during any buffet. I had multiple servers who were quick to clear my plates, bring me extra napkins & wipes, and even fresh crab cruncher (no idea what this apparatus is actually called). Really top notch service.

Not about Vegas... But restaurants around here just pass around nut crackers... Not the toy soldier type but the three segment variety like ...

It was similar but more of a pliers or clamp design that's a little more sturdy for leveraged crushing, probably for the lobster claws; the picks would have been very handy for the King Crab legs. By the way, they had an excellent Chinese section with roast duck and assorted dim sum. No dumplings though, otherwise this should be your go-to buffet in Vegas!

One of these days... Not big into gambling and having to pay several hundred dollars to see a show just doesn't do it for me. It's on the bucket list, just not very high.

That said... you want a goto buffet, Shangri-La Singapore.... At least when I was last there.

Lotsa sadness after a heartbreaking 37-35 OT (3 min) loss in middle school basketball. My child’s 2 free throws were the only points the team scored. Thankfully after initial resistance we still had 5 players going to Mod pizza, which was out of power (!?!?) so we went to blaze.

blaze pizza

pepperoni pizza
ice water

Great! I'll be sure to check it out when I'll be in Singapore next quarter. Also, I need to look for that really great bbq pork (char sieu) place.
