i normally prefer to order Plates as opposed to wraps and sandwiches. I feel that my Doner Kebab wraps from Germany also included fries (mit Kartoffel or Pommes Frites?)

I have been putting fries in my burger since I was a child.

Learn something new everyday. I've had gyros, kebab sandwiches, and shwarmas in at least 7 countries and I've never seen fries in them, or offered. Ever.

Standard way they're served in Greece.

I've had Doner kebabs in several countries and have never had them with fries on them.

Pretty common here for Israeli and Greek places. Not so much the Arabic places I frequent. Same for shawarma poutine...

Variety is the spice of life, like spicy Mod pizza with artichokes on Monday and spicy Mod pizza without artichokes on Tuesday! (See above.) :D

There's a place in Oakland that makes great Shawarma fries. Not poutine style ... ;)

My only beef (shawarma) with the poutine version (I would assume "cheese fries" versions as well) is when the mass cools... The fries get soggy and disgusting... And near impossible to reheat in any meaningful way.

speaking of poutine - is it pronounced “pu teen” or “pu tee Nee”? My friend’s Canadian (Toronto) and used 3 syllables. I never thought of it as a 3-syllable word.

Clever - so souvla is really accurate by writing Greek Style on menu!

Not sure if you know Mod pizza and how it works. The punter chooses the ingredients. The spicy pizza is based on the spicy Calabrian red sauce plus the marinated red peppers. I love this system. It’s just such a great pizza. Better than the conveyor belt oven style. Of course, it’s hard to beat the Costco $1.99 slice.

Depends on who you speak to really. For my French-oriented friends, it's usually "pu-tin"... for the English-oriented friends, it's "pu-teen". I pronounce it "beer" (not really but someone's bound to get a chuckle out of that one).

I'm quite familiar but I never considered going two days in a row to order the same thing.

And, it's far better than Costco IMHO, but far more than $1.99. I guess it depends whether you like crack crisp crust.

Open face ham (not boiled!) y cheese. Toasted the bread with olive oil and sliced garlic first, then added stone ground mustard and the ham and baked/broiled for a bit, then added tomato, cilantro, smoked paprika, and swiss, back into oven until melted. Simple salad on the side.

we did go to different Mod locations :-). basically it’s easy and great to go there with my child & the friends after a play date which happened with different friends on Monday & Tuesday. Summer is ending and school will resume! These are epic days. Not to be confused with the rest of the year which is also pretty epic for me.
I love Mod. I prefer spicy pizzas. I’m not sure if I can get just regular red sauce for their pizza in the future.
