I've never heard of such a thing. Tell us more. And, was it tasty?

I was wondering too but I was dazzled by those potato chips.

My wife made a peach crumble. Definitely super good.

The grouper is dusted and sautéed. House made Thousand Island. Swiss cheese. A pineapple cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. Capers.

I used to order their blackened redfish BLT, but it came off the menu when redfish became hard to come by. I can order their blackened grouper BLT off-menu, but only if Shirley is tending bar.

My other favorite is T.A.B.L.E. - Tomato (fried green), Avocado, Bacon (thick, peppered), Lettuce, Egg (over easy). Messy.

Crooked Spoon adds house made kettle chips to every sandwich order. And I usually get to finish Mrs BV’s. Lightly salted and always warm. I only upgraded to a different side once in dozens of visits.

My kids have been asking me to make a pot of sauce, so decided to go for it today (even though it’s not Sunday!) Used Akaushi beef for the meatballs and lots of basil from the backyard.

A healthy mortadella pizza from Pizza Shed, Cape Town - only 11.63 USD for such a high-quality pizza!

I ruined a flank steak last night. I was fooled by the packaging and what looked like a normal steak was two thin steaks, one on top of the other. Before the marinade was cooked off, it was grey in the center. I will slice what’s left over and serve it tonight in a pita with dill/garlic yogurt, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. But only because wasting food is a sin.

A scoop of vanilla ice cram would make that slightly warmed cobbler even tastier.
