Here's what really happened at Alinea last weekend. It appears that the sitter thing was completely made up and the parents were every bit as inconsiderate as I imagined them to be.

Temper tantrum at next table - what would you do?
In a low voice I'd tell my Consiglieri to approach the owner/Maitre d'Hotel and explain to him what could happen if this problem wasn't solved within the minute
