I used to love Dick's in San Diego. Went there for 20+ years until they closed. One of the most fun places in Gaslamp. They never did a paper bag thing there, just purposely obnoxious servers, all in good fun.

Three types of baklava (the one stabbed by the fork was buttery brilliance), and spicy purple carrot juice (which decided to spill itself on the concrete, saving me from drinking that much more sodium). Later on, I had cucumber melon seltzer, and some stir-fried vegetables with eggs. |
Mac and cheese with a spoon of Costco pesto stirred in for breakfast.

Dinner with family at Sirimahannop the heritage ship
The ship is owned by the Chang beer mogul and permanently parked at Asiatique the Riverfront (his property also) and it is part of the Marriott Marquis Bangkok dining venues. He owns that particular Marriott also!
