There was a food truck at the clubhouse today. I had no intention of purchasing until I walked past and caught a whiff. I went back home for my wallet. The prices were steep. $60 for a full rack of ribs with no sides. $20 for a bbq sandwich with no sides. I ended up paying $45 for a pork sandwich and 1/2 smoked chicken, They were a couple of guys from Memphis and seemed to be doing a brisk trade. We ate half at lunch and put the rest in the fridge for dinner. I did grocery shopping and walked to my garden to water. Mrs BV had a yoga class at 1. By 3, she had an upset stomach. I’ll finish the chicken tonight. The question is: do I try Mrs BV’s pork sandwich?

Salad is deferred again. Dinner is pickle chicken and hearts of palm noodles ("Miracle Noodles" this time).

Afternoon snack:
Mini pineapple bun

I’m glad to see that you have had a $20 sandwich. Next thing will be a $3 donut :-)
and yes, if Mrs BV isn’t eating the rest of her sandwich, then it’s only proper for you to eat it. Yum. Maybe bake it to get it nice and moist and warm.

Had a takeout BBQ dinner for 4 in Vegas at Jessie Rae’s. $120 normal price, $62 Groupon price. Had pulled pork, boneless bbq chicken, and spicy sausages. We fed 5 adults and 1 kid, and still had a ton of bbq left over. Included soft drinks and 4 sides.
I’ve had a few very nice takeout BBQ meals this year at normal restaurants. $21 for a full rack of baby back pork ribs, plus 1 side in Chandler. $29.95 full price ($15 Groupon) at Honey Bear’s in Phoenix for a full rack plus 2 sides, and $23.99 for a full rack, also in Phoenix.
