Gotta love Indian food!

At least it changed its name when it moved to Victorian Britain, from Khichari to kedgeree. But then I suppose I dream of Alpine peaks when I enjoy a Swiss Roll or, in the USA, dream of home if someone gives me an English muffin!;)

I had a similar meal when I was in South America recently. Sigh...why does most seafood have to be fried around here?!?

Brunch, I guess...

So I took some ground turkey, shredded sweet potato, onion, ginger, Thai green curry paste, and coconut milk and made some meat concoction that should last a few days. For brunch, I took some riced cauliflower and threw in a little curry paste that I opened up with some coconut cream and threw it in a bowl, topped it with the turkey stuff, a duck fat fried egg, and put some cilantro and pistachio on top. IDK what I'd call it but it's pretty good for what basically amounts to a kitchen purge concotion.

Sounds like a deliciously good concoction! (Love the duck fat fried egg, by the way! ^)

Surprisingly for the southeast, I don't encounter that issue here very often. Yes, there are the restaurants at the beach that cater primarily to the tourist trade. They feature the "seafood platter" with everything battered and fried. But the places we frequent usually offer a choice of blackened, grilled or bronzed.

C'mon down for some fresh scallops, grouper, snapper, cobia, sheepshead (my dinner choice last night), pompano, etc.

Seattle, Pintxo Seattle.

Sharing the following by two:

Bacon wrapped dates
Salt Cod Fritters
Lamb Kefta Sliders
Crab stuffed Piquillo Peppers
Grilled Octopus

A bottle of dust dry Californian Sauvignon Blanc matched everything but the Lamb Kefta, a glass of red Zin on the side took care of that.

Bad news: No room for desert

:(

Good grief. I think my body started producing lactase in response to that picture.

Grilled mahimahi sandwich with fries across from the beach at Pompano Joes. Preceded by a frozen pina cola and accompanied by a 30A ale.

Lunch for the last three days has been fishcakes on rocket salad.
When I get in the piscine, tuber and brassica zone it's hard to shift me.

Indeed, it was quite good. BTW, if interested a company called Epic is where I buy animal fats from, all available online on Amazon. They have Beef Tallow, Pork Lard, and Duck Fat. Here's their "Variety Pack:" Amazon Link

It was certainly the most indulgent meal I've had in a long while. :D I've never had a disappointing experience at a Capital Grille.
