I had dinner yesterday at an excellent Chinese restaurant called San Tung in San Francisco. Their speciality are chicken wings that were absolutely delicious. I brought home leftovers and had them for dinner tonight and they were even better. These were them in their prime:

Grilled T-Bone steak,de-boned and then sliced thinly into a large salad of crisp romaine and rocket salad,cherry tomatoes,mini-cucumbers,grated carrot,sliced boiled egg and cold new potatoes with an olive oil/balsamic dressing.
For two.
It was delicious.

Today's menu du jour @ the Seaside Diner (our Devon beach house ...... ) ..... cask wine von fass on tap with some gorgeous Swedish smoke salmon, some very tasty mortadella and a bit of kitch quiche and salad ....

Went to Jose & Sons in Raleigh today for lunch. They advertise themselves as serving "Southern inspired Mexican cuisine":



Shrimp burrito with potato salad and a Mexican Coke...quite tasty in fact.

Bought-in delivered curry supper served on a practical anti-Slosh and drip-proof tablecloth from the newsagent. You don't get this level of refinement in other gaffs.

Not too dissimilar to my lunch.
Smoked salmon and Italian ham on rye toast.Lots of ground pepper.
Glass or three of a crisp white.

Oddly not too dissimilar to what we had a gain today plus salami.

We're down at the beach so everything is kept simple ...

Asparagus roasted in the oven with olive oil, kosher salt, and fresh-ground pepper. Sauvignon blanc. What else would I need?
