I'm sticking with Roederer and drinking my last bottle of 1985 Cristal (my investments made money in 2008 unlike most people so I'm not crying in my beer yet). Next year it will have to be the 96 (still have a case of that left).

Most likely a bottle of whatever local bargain I find at Santa Isabel or Jumbo, outside watching the fireworks shooting off of the Entel tower.

Since I go to sleep at about 8:00 pm on NYE (in order to wake up in time for the Neujahrskonzert live on the Internet at 5:15 am EST), I will pick up a half-bottle of something for a single sip (or two) before bedtime.

Depends upon which Roederer. I just checked, and 85 Cristal is going for USD 800-1100 (classic supply-demand at work).

Y, J, or F class?

That will make a heck of difference!

Planning on Dom, probably 1993.

Somewhat curious to try LP Grand Siecle, however, if I have time to buy it before NYE.

This year it'll probably be some early 80's Dom or Krug, haven't decided yet. My friends will want to uncork Cristal but I'm not a fan. We may start with Billecart-Salmon Rose first, then get to the expensive stuff as we get closer to midnight. Last night was a 1979 Dom to celebrate Christmas and also my grandmother's birthday. It was delicious.
