Ewww! While I wish I could get some of those cinnamon crisps, every time I see a taco bell commercial all I can think of is that huge roach spreading germs all over that meat. God knows what else they were crawling on.

Walked by a Taco Bell today at Cross Iron Mills near Calgary..

To tell you the truth, the roach didn't enter into my mind today..

Glad food chains are a bit cleaner in Canada..

I like my crisps, well, crispy, so:

Lant chips, a Swedish brand formerly sold at IKEA. Irresistible.

Cape Cod chips

Utz's lard-fried chips were amazing but are probably no longer available.

Some UN-favorite flavors: Poulet roti (sold in France), Pickles (more like piccalilli, sold in Belgium).

Charles Chips -- tan tin with brown lettering. I saw them used as props onstage (a mountaineer's cabin) a couple of months ago. Very evocative.

As a kid, I loved original Pringles.

Today, I still like Pringles but I also like Salt 'n Vinegar Kettle chips.

Central PA has to be the snack food capital of the world, at least when it comes to potato chips. While Kettle cooked Utz are good, nothing beats Martins Kettle Cooked. (Though Martins Kettle Cooked with Sea Salt are also quite good.)
By the way, there are still a couple of local brands which are fried in lard for a really crispy chip.
