simple

Coffee, maybe water.

in america:

coffee and no breakfast

or coffee and water and breakfast

occasionally OJ but only not from concentrate

but usually only coffee and then a larger lunch with ice tea with no sweetener +/- lemon

or if really in the mood... then regular coke, preferably with the cane sugar

never artificial sweetened drinks, only sugar, water or alcohol

in italy... espresso, juice, water and whatever the hotel provides for breakfast, pref fresh fruit

Lately.. Green, Chai, or Orange Pekoe tea..

Haven't been sick so far this year since drinking tea for breakfast..

Typically my breakfast is a triple shot venti skim latte from Starbucks, or someplace better if available. Rarely do I eat anything along with it.

Not much selection at Starbucks to accompany the drink products anyhow.. maybe a few baked goods..

On occasion I'll struggle down a scone, but I'm not a fan of their food offerings to be sure.

Starbucks can make a killing with the right menu.. for sure..

But typically, I'll go there just for a frappe or something.. knowing I can't eat anything out of there..

That's something I never have been able to figure out. Everyone I know feels the same way. If they just had a decent food offering, they'd make a lot of money off it. Their hot sandwiches make McD's look like gourmet! I guess now that I think about it, they're Oatmeal is not too bad.

Perhaps I need to revisit their offerings.. Starbucks is one of my tenants, and perhaps they have half decent food, but I never think to eat there..

I was telling a friend of mine who's from New Zealand how on a recent trip to Austria I started my morning with pastry and Coca Cola Light from a nearby bakery and the thought I was crazy for drinking soda with breakfast. But that's the best time for it! :D

My wife's cousin starts her morning EVERY day with a large diet coke from McDonald's. HAS to be McDonald's!
Anyhow, I can't do soda first thing in the AM, the acid tears my stomach up.

I find it surprising the number of people who actually drink alcohol with breakfast, especially if you are on a flight and will be driving afterwards.

Milk or water, very sporadically orange juice but I can't stand having an acidic beverage on an empty stomach.

CPRich Jan 3, 2012 8:28 pm

I pick up two Cherry Diet Pepsi 20oz bottles on my way to work every day.

Oddly enough, my stomach is already full of stuff much more acidic than soda.
