Workdays in it tends to be either black or green tea. I enjoy a variety of quality teas including Korean Poseong green and barley teas, Chinese oolong and longjing and of course the traditional English Breakfast and Darjeeling.

On weekends, this might be supplemented by some juice and the tea maybe replaced by an espresso macchiato (made the old fashioned way). On rare occasions if brunching out, and in company of friends, maybe also a Bloody Mary. Not so much into champagne based drinks intogether.

When flying, a tea and tomato juice combo has been the usual order. Not that I like plane breakfasts much anyway, normally try to get an Asian (Indian) vegetarian brekkie if possible.

At home: fresh-ground half-caf (black), grapefruit juice, sometimes with a splash of unsweetened cranberry juice.
in flight: OJ, water, sometimes tea. Never airline "coffee"
in a restaurant: cappuccino with an extra shot if they've got it, or ordinary coffee (with milk) switching to decaf (if they've got it)

I have never tried cola for breakfast

Darjeeling Tea or Chocolate Milk

Weekday-coffee with breakfast followed by 20oz water consumed on the way to work.

Weekend-coffee and OJ or OJ /pineapple juice

Mr. Wanderingviolet is a coffee snob and orders beans from several artisanal roasters and I reap the benefits of that.:)

Usually water followed by decaf green tea. Sometimes Peet's sulawesi-kalosi with cream.

At home: american coffee (this is recent btw, it was tea for most of my 35 years)

Breakfast out: coffee and OJ, unless it's a place with booze in which case screwdriver or bloody or (if a brunch situation - mimosa)

On planes: almost always screwdrivers

sandra_lemieux Feb 19, 2010 11:53 am

Black coffee. No sugar, no cream.

I also get a starbucks on the way in to work.

longwaybackhome Feb 19, 2010 8:39 pm

at home: coffee if I've made it sometimes in the recent past.

outside of home: some sort of cafe latte

always: tons of water, because I need the caffeine from the coffee but don't always like the taste.

Home: Country Time lemonade mixed 1/2 strength.
Restaurant: Water w/ice, Plain iced tea, OJ w/ice diluted with water.
Plane: Water w/ice, Diluted OJ w/ice, Bloody Mary mix w/ice.

Never ever hot beverages anytime anywhere.
