Amazingly I can get that (rare) Utah brewed beer here in Pittsburgh. It's only at one shop but I'll pick it up next time there as I'm a pretty big fan of 'West Coast' IPAs. I've had Labyrinth, from Uinta's Crooked Line, and enjoyed it very much.

Which shop is it again? I'm going to have to venture out there to pick up a lot of beer. :D

Still EXACTLY the same bottles! NO CHANGE after a year.

I suspect that some OPS may be posting "What I WISH was in my beer fridge!"
;)

Anyway, I realized that since I originally posted about a year ago, what was THEN in my beer fridge is STILL in my beer fridge.
Net, net, I really don't drink. It's there simply for company or for parties, and I'm gone so much, not many visitors or parties!

While visiting family in VA, went to the Westover Market in Arlington and had a blast! They proclaim to have over 1,000 beers available, so I was like a kid in a candy store.

Picked up 2 cases, including:

Starr Hill Jomo Lager
Heavy Seas Winter Store Category 5 Ale
Heavy Seas Gold Ale

I'll have to check my inventory when I get home tonight. Can't even remember the other five six-packs I picked up.

Next time you are in downtown Chicago, visit Binny's at about 1100 South Jefferson. They have 1500+ different beers. It's like a Wal-Mart full of beer, wine, booze, cigars, and gourmet food. They even have a bar.

PM me and I will meet you.

Cool. Westover Market put in a "beer haus" and a "beer garden" which are very cool. They initially ran afoul of the local gov't (failed to get some required permits), but from what I understand, it's become a pretty fun place to go now with some live music in the summer and several TVs that they roll out into the beer garden when the weather allows.

I really enjoyed Pannepot - a very nice Belgian Quad that got better as it reached room temperature. It must have been awesome to sit and talk with the Brewer - Struise makes excellent stuff.

Indeed... these beers (as well as a lot of other belgian beers) are best at either cellar temperature, or room temperature. If they come straight out a fridge, they are too cold and are missing a lot of flavor.

Sadly no beer in my fridge right now. But I'll be heading to the store tonight for some Deschutes Black Butte Porter, Ninkasi Double IPA and either Brrr or Ebeneezer Ale for Thanksgiving.

+1

I currently have some home-brew Christmas ale, Ninkasi Total Domination, Rogue Mom's Hefeweisen and Alameda brewhouse el Tornino IPA.

Still drinking Full Sail Wassail (I need the #1 cap, I have the other 11). By the end of the month it'll all be gone (both what's in my fridge and the supply of the seasonal beer).

Had Ill-Tempered Gnome from Oakshire in Eugene, OR the other day and liked it, but it's a seasonal, too. Winter, my favorite season for beer...

Boozy beer for cold weather!
