That may have been the problem when I tried it.

Opted for a Great Western Brewing's Original 16 Canadian Pale Ale as I was interested in the story of the brewery closure that prompted 16 workers to step up and buy the plant and go their own way. Saskatoon is where I grew up so the story has added ingredients. The beer itself is a lighter, hoppy ale without the same sharper notes of a very hoppy IPA so is a really good refreshing summer patio beer.

Now I'm going to google the story.

Chicago's Festival of Wood- and Barrel-Aged Beer has put out the call for volunteers. Best festival of its kind in the world. Work one session, get in another free.

November 11-12. Email Art at [email protected]

750ml bottle of Raison D'Extra, the no-longer-made high-octane version of Dogfish Head's Raison D'etre.

Some of the barleywines will probably be served with the dessert course (or as the dessert course for some of us) at Thanksgiving dinner.
I've never heard of Raison D'Extra bottled in 750ml format. (However, drinking 12oz of it packs a bit more punch than 750ml of many other beers. )

edit: didn't realise I was quoting such an old post.

Don't get me started about Canadians, hockey and their beer...

Tonight I felt a little Mexican so bought some Pacifico and reflected on my many trips to PVR and chilling out on a scorching hot day with an ice cold Pacifico.

I hope the little Mexican enjoyed it.

Nothing better than a cold Pacifico while sitting in Cuates y Cuetes listening to some great jazz. ^

If I can ever shake the auditor on my tail here, I will be going out tonight in Pensacola with the plant manager who promised to take me to one of the breweries. If I think of it, I will snap a pic for the board.

If you like Lagunitas, you must take their tour if you visit Chicago.

[QUOTE=Duke787;27090939]Had a couple of Habanero Sculpin's at the post-work Happy Hour today. Quite good - not as good as the Flying Dog Mango Habanero I had earlier in the summer but a good effort given my love of all things spicy Im a fan of that Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin also but its hard to find in my area .Just enough heat for me
