Rhinegeist T-Rex. Black IPA.

It's as good a beer as I've ever had.

I won a free growler of beer while playing trivia last week from a Rock Bottom Brewery in San Diego. They were nice enough to let me claim it tonight. I chose their Moonlight Porter.

Was at the local beer store (Sam's Quik Shop for anyone in the Durham area) and was between Allagash Tripel and Blackberry Farms Classic Saison.

Went with the Allagash because it was cheaper. I like it quite a bit but at some point I want to circle back and try the Blackberry Farms

Never tried to make my own. I often throw a shot of vodka in to add a little "refreshment" though.

Still doing the Whole30 thing during the week, but introducing moderated beer consumption during the weekends. A new one for me today, Terrapin HI-5 IPA--a California-style IPA with a nice citrusy hoppiness and good crisp finish. Good to have during the last bit of the HOT summer down here.

Had a couple of Habanero Sculpin's at the post-work Happy Hour today. Quite good - not as good as the Flying Dog Mango Habanero I had earlier in the summer but a good effort given my love of all things spicy (but not smoky)

I don't think I was that impressed with HI-5.

An 8-pack of imported Brewhouse Lager. (okay, it's only imported from Saskatoon)

12-pack Schlafly Hop Trial. Four single-hop varieties, each 6.5% and 45 IBU. I'm learning which hops I like and which I don't.
