Wheat beer. I'm amazed that they continued to experiment with other types of beer after inventing this kind.

Goose Island Summertime Kolsch. Just the thing for an unabashed fan of ice-cold kolsch and pilsner, especially after some time outside when it's in the 90s.

The first ever beer I drank was a wheat. I didn't like it much but because it was my first, it'll remain special to me.

Recently had:

-Rogue Cold Brew IPA - a really good IPA infused with the strong aroma of a cold brew. Usually encounter coffee in stouts, but this was excellent.

-Breckenridge Autumn Ale - a decent old/strong ale from the Denver brewery, if less distinctive than pumpkin-brewed beers and traditional Oktoberfest lagers.

-Bell's Hopsoulution DIPA - another decent entry from Bell's. Like their Two-Hearted Ale, it's very drinkable but not terribly distinct.

Went out to our new brewery by the beach last night. They're up to about their 10th batch. I tried the Bitter Blond and didn't much care for it. The brown ale, however was excellent. I don't usually care for them but this one had a lot of coffee in it.

Not in my beer fridge (though might have to pick up a couple of the first one at Duty Free tomorrow) but had a couple really good beers in Oslo the last two nights:

Last night - Nøgne Ø India Pale Ale
Tonight: Fyr & Flamme IPA

Miller Lite.

I didn't put it there and I haven't really been drinking it, but when you run out of ice tea...

I agree, water is a great backup for iced tea.

My new neighbor convinced me to have two Sierra Nevada Torpedoes. My only cheat in a week or so--I feel like that's reasonable.

It certainly is.

I've actually been drinking it a bit more lately at bars too. My friend used to be a Miller Lite Girl and she taught me that chasing Jager shots with Miller Lite makes it taste like root beer. With this in mind, both are actually palatable!

That's amazing, never heard of that combo, though that's not to say I haven't had it before...

I used to work at an upscale place in metro Atlanta and we had a guy who would come in and get just Miller Lite on the rocks. I used to call him "Ice Water."

HA! When I open a bar one day I will have that on the menu, Ice Water

And it pains me to say it... but give it a shot (the Miller and Jager mess). I think as a bomb (where you drop the shot into the beer) could work out too.

Tonight is some Carlsberg as I'm visiting CPH in Oct. When in Rome, so to speak...
