Having a glass of Habanero Sculpin...
Really delicious. The heat is for real. Not unbearable, but if you're from California or some place like that I wouldn't try this one. JK, but my kinfolk from there are so heat averse I would never dream of serving one to them. But I'm a Texas native and love hot foods. This is a good one for me. Not an everyday beer, but on occasion? You bet. It is different than many other beers that have chiles ... this one captures some of the good pepper flavor and more of the latent heat. 3/4 through the glass and my mouth is warm. I like it! |

My Sam's Club is closing out 30-packs of Rolling Rock for less than $10. Too bad it sucks.

Coopers Clear. Very good stuff and low on the carbs.
Either that or Big Head from Burleigh Brewery, which is the first no-carb beer around. :) |
Loose Shoe Brewing Ambriar Ale. A friend is the mother of the owner/brewer, and on their trip there this weekend, had a growler filled for me.

Monteiths Radler, hoegaarden and looking for the moa blanc - had a sip in brisbane nz lounge and quite liked it.
Otherwise it's mainly wines for me but it's nice to have a beer when you get the urge. |
Breakside - Tropicalia
Crooked Stave - Progenitor Pfriem - IPA Double Mountain - Pale Death Russian River - Consecration Bells - Two Hearted Ale |
Try Breaksides Tropicalia. Beer made with Lychee and chillis. Very refreshing and the right amount of heat. Unfortunately it's only brewed in January - March

Yesterday was an F1 race day which means drinking before noon.. an after noon... and more..
Started with some champagne, but moved on through Corsendonk's Apple White - good, light transition from bubbly to beer Founder's Blushing Monk - imperial Rubeaus. Raspberry yummy Airways Final Departure - After dinner, big stout. Lots of chocolate and coffee Central City's Thor's Hammer - barrel-aged English style barleywine. Very good. Seems like there was another one, but who knows. |
Love the Habanero Sculpin. Great flavor with just a touch of heat. Surprisingly delicious.
Fridge currently has that, the Grapefruit Sculpin, some Victory Prima Pils, and an assortment of Sweetwater cans (420, IPA, Take 2 Pils). |
Will be in The Bahamas next week. I hope to tour John Watlings and purchase a bottle of their Buena Vista rum.
Not much of a fan of Kalik but I will try a Strong Back stout if I can find it on tap while in town. Otherwise, it's the standard cruise ship bar offerings - I will be satisfied with a Samuel Adams Boston Lager but would prefer to try something I've never had. |
while NOT technically in the fridge, I received a 12 pack of Pliny the Elder - http://imgur.com/a/uVw8W
