Hop-heads who visit Ohio need to look for Millersburg Brewing Company's French Ridge IPA. One of the best I've had.
Jackie O's (Athens, OH) Mystic Mama is also terrific. |
Love my beer, and great to find this thread! This is what I have right now...
1) Stone Brewing - Fyodor's Classic 2015 edition (best stout I have ever had, and it's not close) 2) Threes Brewing - I Hate Myself (seasonal IPA that I convinced the bartender at this microbrewery in Brooklyn to hook me up with) 3) Ommegang - Three Eyed Raven Dark Saison Ale 4) Ommegang - Valar Morghulis Dubbel Ale 5) Ommegang - Fire and Blood Red Ale (can you tell I'm a GoT fan?) 6) Other Half Brewing - Green Diamonds Imperial IPA 7) Captain Lawrence Brewing - Palate Shifter Imperial IPA 8) Funkwerks - Saison Ale |

Athens, OH has a brewery now???
Jackie O's also makes a terrific rye ale called Hop Ryot, for those who enjoy such things (and I do). |

It seems as though every town in Ohio of at least 10,000 residents now has at least one craft brewery. 2015 in Ohio is truly a golden age for beer lovers.

A few Mahou (Madrid's main beer for those of you who may not know it). Having lived abroad for quite some years already, you tend to miss certain things from "home".

I took the kids by the liquor store for bloody mary fixings yesterday and came across an Innis & Gunn I hadn't tried yet so currently a 4 pack of Irish Whisky Finish in the fridge. Looks to be a seasonal.

Three bottles of Rolling Rock and 3 of Beck's Light. I'm still on a quest to find a drinkable light beer. This isn't it.

As someone commented, it really pairs very well with starchy foods. |
