Differences between the legacy Professional cards and the new Consumer cards:
- Card type. Professional = charge card; Consumer = credit card
- Foreign transaction fees. Professional 3%; Consumer 0.
- CDW vehicle value cap. Professional = $75,000 (Diners) or $100,000 (Carte Blanche); Consumer = $50,000
- Other insurance. On cursory examination there appears to be differences in the carriers and terms of the other coverages. The Consumer coverages may be a standard package arranged by MasterCard, while the Professional coverages may be inherited from Citi. Someone would need to read carefully side-by-side to find the differences.

I was all set to pull the trigger on this, but then I saw in the T&C that it says re: the AF:
Primary Card- $300
Additional Card- $150
So if I wanted to be an AU on my husband's card, it would cost an extra $150/year? Or am I misunderstanding this? I do all the MS, so it would be bad if we had to pay for an extra card in my name...

The statements do not include any information about rewards. The website does not yet include access to rewards information. Some discussion in this thread:

rewards link appeared this morning. Ive been following the page fairly close since my first statement closed mid oct. Points are all screwed up though. No reporting of points from first statement and all other transactions are coding at 1x. Im sure this will be worked out but its obvious Dinerclubus was not prepared for this card's launch. I have a bad feeling about how long this card will last.

I think it will be normal for category bonus points to post separately from the base points. I would expect to see 1 point per dollar as the transactions post, and the bonus 2 points per dollar when the statement is generated, or perhaps later. On many other cards nothing posts until the statement is generated.
