I got mine!
I was just checking in online and saw I had received 10k also. Takes the sweat out of reaching Plat again this year. Next two trips ought to do it and that does not count the 10k I will get from my Delta Plat card.
Nice surprise though...Thank you Delta!

Thanks. Just checked. I received 10K MQM's. This is now very close to Gold. Gives me incentive to fly one transcon to reach Gold. Husband got nada.

No “Gift” MQM’s for me. I was Delta Platinum last year and re-qualified as Platinum this year in June ~90K MQM's YTD, based in Seattle, WA. In case anyone is tracking “Why & Why not".
Side note: Hope I don’t need these for the new “Fourth Tier” qualification.

I'm trying to understand how this reward is working - specifically given someone posted its driven by loyalty.
In theory, DL could view this as a way to increase brand loyalty among those who could be switchers (FOs/GMs) vs. PMs who most likely will continue to fly DL. Thus why some haven't received it. Who knows?
Things that make you go hmm.

While checking accounts for the "gift" I found 1 extra mile in my wife's Skymiles account:
Expiration Extension (posted on 29May2009) = 1 mile

I was thinking about AZ, but I would never step foot on an AA plane!

I distinctly remembered reading about the November trip taking AA...
But yeah I guess it could be to keep loyalty, as davakkar speculated, it could be the incentive to keep people pushing towards the next carrot if and when the tiers are revamped. Heck, for all we know it'll be 30/60/90/120 next year!

I'll add my data point:
Got 10,000 MQMs today. Am FO on DL and GE on NW. No DL or NW credit cards of any kind. No MQMs earned this year on DL. Linked the accounts months ago. Have flown DL & NW, but am accumulating miles in WP account. No additional postings to the WP account. Renewed my "SkyClub" membership last month.
I'm thankful, but at a loss as to why I got these??

Wow, DL is handing these things out like candy. I flew *A the first half of this year. I had ONE paid segment credited to my SkyMiles account by June 15---total MQMs after all the bonuses? Over 25K! And that one segment was a $250 one-way KUP fare during the crazy ATL fire-sale.

It took a few hours, but I just got my 10K also. If I knew then what I know now, I would have taken one less MR during Double Miles. Now I'll be Plat by the end of Sept, a month early.
But, I still believe this is something that Jeff needs to address.
