I guess I had better luck than you. I did the auto quote on 5/21/07 but no miles yet. Just called 30 minues ago, I told the CSR I did an internet quote a couple days ago and had some questions. He asked me for the quote # then told me right away he needed to transfer me to the internet support team. I didn't even have to ask!
The team member was very friendly and reviewed the quoted rate with me. I chatted with her and told her it was $30 more than my current policy. Then I asked her to verify my Skymiles # and the bonus miles. She told me my quote is in the system but the miles may take up to 12 weeks to be posted. I asked her nicely if there's a way to speed it up. She told me that everybody is trying to have their miles posted at this points so the system is backlogged. She also mentioned that Ameriprise forwards the requests to Delta on a weekly basis, so it's up to Delta how fast to post the miles.
The most important question I asked her was the date for the activity. She assurred me that it would be backdated to the actual day the auto quote was requested since that's how their system forward the info to Delta. So for those who already got your complete quote but not the miles, just be patient.
I think I am good with my 5K bonus Skymiles now!

I don't know about others, but the miles from my quote were NOT backdated. They were dated about 5 days after the quote was received online.

Any others?
Has anyone else received miles that were not backdated for a specific partner? If so, please list the partner so any last minute participants (like me) can avoid them. Thanks.

Telephoned Lather regarding my 5/9/07 purchase, the SkyMiles for which never posted. I actually transfered through to the individual in Accounting, who manages the Lather postings at SkyMiles.
She transmits one time per month. She thought the next transmittal to SkyMiles would be next week, which would be around the 8th of June. Lather purchases like mine, which occured 5/9 and later in May, will transmit to SkyMiles, showing the date of the transmittal in June. Simply put, my May purchase which should unquestionably qualify for the promotion, will post with a June transaction date to my SkyMiles account!!
Delta's tabulation of partner activity for this promotion covers April and May dates only, meaning that Lather activity in May (and posting with a June date) will not qualify.
I took the trouble to explain this to my telephone contact at Lather. She responded that SkyMiles allows her one field for a date. She does not have a field to enter a transaction date, then a separate field to enter a transmittal date. SkyMiles has instructed her to fill in the single date field with the transmittal date.
We will have to fight with SkyMiles later over the transaction date versus the posting date for these Lather purchases.
Once again, I am reminded of the early postings to this thread. These questioned SkyMiles capacity to run a promotion. I should think Lather is typical of quite a few partners, who also would have been specifically instructed by SkyMiles not to input the date of purchase/activity, but rather the date of transmittal. We are seeing that frequent transmitters like the rental car companies provide timely postings to SkyMiles. However, the infrequent transmitting partners like Lather (and, we are seeing, quite a few others) only purchase their SkyMiles once per month.
From the beginning, there was no way for these May transactions to post with SkyMiles with the requisite May dating!!!

This is all true but we discovered quite early on (in this thread) that this was going to be the case with Lather. I think it is only the SkyMiles incentives postings (of which we are only allowed one anyway) that have this issue.

I bought 1,000 miles in the morning today and the miles posted with today's date about 5 or 6 hours later...wow
Should I ask for a refund from the Avis people who try harder to bury the fine print?
I have all 5 activities posted for a family of 4...now let's see how long DL will take to post...do they really need 10-12 weeks to do this, come on! They should hire from NW Wordlperks to teach them how to do such promos.

Unhelpful...
Anything you do now (except for possibly buying Delta miles directly) has a chance of not posting with today's date. The burden of proof will be on you to prove that a transaction entered into today should qualify for the promotion -- so keep print-outs of everything.
(The answer to your question can probably be found in the last 20 or so pages of this thread if you're really interested.)

I just ordered a coffee mug from Java City as my final partner transaction. Doing a quick search in this thread showed that Java City backdates transactions, which is good for those of us who waited until the last minute.
On the otherhand, my recent SkyMiles Dining transaction and bonus posted this afternoon. It was much quicker than I had anticipated.
Overall I am glad I have my 5 transactions and that those 5000 miles will be in my account (hopefully) sometime soon.

I'm still waiting for my miles from Burget to post
I called them today and they said miles were sent to Delta on the 15th. Emailed Delta and they said that it would take 4-6 weeks

Anyone waiting for 1800flowers miles may have a problem. I have been waiting for a month or so for the miles to post and I finally get this email back from them:
"Thank you for shopping with 1-800-FLOWERS.COM.
I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion. One of the requirements for getting the airline miles is for the merchandise to be at least $29.99. The merchandise on this order was only $15.99 and so you will not be able to receive airline miles for this order.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at the address listed below. You can also contact us at our customer satisfaction number, 1-800-468-1141.
Sincerely,

Anyone have or remember any confirmation of that anyplace? I certainly never saw that anywhere before ordering or I would have properly adjusted. This guarantees that I will never place an order with them again, whether or not it is documented anyplace. Can anyone find anything or remember anything?

I swear lots of these promos break consumer laws regarding disclosure (AVIS, SkyMiles wireless accessories, and now 1-800-Flowers come to mind).
Class action lawsuit anyone? ^ @:-)
