Wow! Where did you find those numbers? They are about 10 times higher than what I would have guessed.

I don't really expect an actual answer. It'll be fun reading whatever it is they send, though. I asked for the overall number members, along with silvers, golds, plats, 1mm's, 2mm's and 4mm's, respectively. Did I leave anything out?

Per the SkyTeam website DL has 38M total FF members. Some of these might be duplicate accounts, dormant accounts, etc.

However I would guess the numbers would be more like 5%, 10%, 15% (Plat/Gold/Silver) or some variation of that.

About 10 years ago, I learned from a DL Corporate contact that there were about 28,000 Platinum Members. Of course that was history, but I thought it was interesting at the time.

I received a reply from Delta in regards to my inquiry about the breakdown. Their answer was as I expected - they're not going to answer that question.

Are you saying that every DL SkyMiles member has multiple elite accounts? Or is that one elite status per American who flew this year?

I don't think it is nearly that high of a percentage. How many of the 38M are one time accounts? That total would be about 11M or about 1 out of 300 Americans. Yes, before I get jumped on, that there are non-American members but the large, large majority are.

Basically, you are a real loser if you are 4MM...at least based upon the ones that I know.
