I don't know how many Medallions there are, but there are about 300,000,000 Americans.

According to the US census there are approx 303,654,567 Americans...too bad they don't publish similar figures for Medallions...

Happy Holidays!

The 2000 Census cost roughly $4.5Billion. For half that amount I'd be willing to count all the Medallions....

Just hang around the B CRC on a Monday and Friday, you should be able to catch them all.

That is an understatement! However, I was there a week ago on Saturday and there were actually open tables and several seats. I did not think that was possible.

How Many DL Elites Are There??

I just got my GM card today and I was looking in the top right hand corner and saw what looks like a serial number.

The format is seven digits and my number is "around" 0000400. My replaced Silver card is "around" 0001250. My old plane jane regular skymiles card has a number in the bottom right that is "about" 0041100.

I approximated these numbers in case there is some private info in them.

My real question is whether or not these "serial numbers" are representative of how many SM members are in each tier, as in about 41,000 regular members, about 1300 silvers, and about 400 golds, at least as of the time the card was made.

Does anyone have any more solid figures about the number of Silver, Gold, and Platinum Medallion members there are?

You must be joking....
There are probably around ten million regular members, probably around one million Silver members, 500.000 Gold members and at least 100.000 Platinum members out there (in the US alone). Well, these numbers are only a wild guess, but I think thery come much closer to reality than yours

From a thread of about a year ago, I think he is messing with you. I was wondering who would be first to go with a very non rounded number.

I think this question has been asked and not answered at least 5555.555 times on FlyerTalk. It's proprietary DL information, zealously protected, probably a trade secret.

In before the lock!
