Only if you would pay $3600 for such a ticket.

99.9% of others wouldn't and would fly another airline, or on slightly different dates, for a fraction of that.

So, the real value is the market price of the route around the dates, not the artificially inflated high price of the specific flight.

"11-12CPM is a steal for redeeming." You directly compared it to the inflated, and not very realistic, MC price.

Despite that, agreed that 30k is a nice deal for a RT Europe award.

I just booked roundtrip LIH-KOA-LIH nonstop on Hawaiian Airlines for November 9-11 for 15,000 SkyMiles and $11.20 in fees. The cash price is currently $249.96 at Hawaiian's website. Taking into consideration the fees on the award ticket, and the paltry amount of miles (562) that I would earn buying a ticket on Hawaiian, that's 1.54 CPM, which I think is decent.

When we moved to Kauai in 2014, I had about 400,000 SkyMiles saved up, and had just earned Million Miler status. I promptly status matched to Alaska Airlines as they fly to more west coast cities direct from Kauai, and Delta had recently gutted the SkyMiles program with $-based earnings (and Alaska still hasn't followed suit). I'm down to about 315,000 miles at this point, with most of the difference being burned in the past two years on interisland flights on Hawaiian. I had originally saved up the miles to fly international flights in business, but those redemption rates have gotten so bad (except for the occasional great deals like those posted here) that I'm happy getting decent value out of my large bank of SkyMiles here in Hawaii.

I had a last minute flight that was $339 cash, but I booked it for 19000 Skymiles. At 1.78cpm I consider that a success since I tend to think of them as 1.2cpm. As a bonus, I was upgraded to F on the return.

The better deal would have been if I could have gotten the ~$290 basic ticket for 9000 skymiles (3.2cpm) but I don't fly BE, and it wasn't my preferred time.

Anyone seeing any round trip transatlantic fares on sale yet? Like the 98,000 mile round trip deal that flashed from 14NOV-16NOV last year?

I’m just waiting for them to drop...

Main reason we are going is the light festival. Planning an evening canal cruise (small boat - booze). We've been in December before and find the market and lights to be pretty cool.

The answer is YES! Delta One Flash sales just started a few minutes ago. I just booked two RT in Delta One: RT to Rome, Italy and RT to Dublin, Ireland.

I suggest looking at the 5 week window to pick your dates. Much better selection.

Love this Flash deal!!

Enjoy and safe travels!

Recently got my wife and I Delta One suites ATL-->CDG on the 777 next summer for 80K per person. Given that I normally see D1 going for at least a couple hundred thousand, I was pretty jazzed about this.

These sale route listings are pretty much always incomplete from my experience. Take with a large grain of salt and assume most US - EU routes are covered (with exception of blackout dates).

xliioper is right. Even though FCO isn't listed on the email, there were PLENTY of 98k D1 offerings.

Enjoy!

Great deals, but wish the 7 day stay wasn't required. Give me a long weekend for 98k!

2X MKE-AMS and return for April at 98k. Get to try D1 Suites for first time.

Also wish it wasn't 7-day stay but I'll take it.
