Friday, Oct 26, ATL/ORF

Former GA Senator Max Cleland.

He was escorted onto the plane by an armed uniformed ATL police officer.
At first I thought we were transporting a criminal! Then I saw him on board and recognized him.

In flight I kept thinking I would lean over and thank him for his service to our country, but when we landed all I could do is flash him a foolish grin which, bless him, he did return. (At what point in ones life does one stop being a shy nerd?)

So he left BOS the day after the Sox won the ALCS. Was he back in time for Game 1 of the World Series on Oct. 24?

A couple of Nascar drivers on a recent ATL-STL flight. I had absolutely no idea who they were (not a fan), but it seemed like everyone else did and came up to FC to say hello.

With so many options available with private jets, it surprises me that people - who we perceive can afford it - even bother with commercial aviation

May be they are thinking of or are going green?

Had Big Boi from Outkast sitting behind me in F from LAX - ATL a few weeks ago. Was coming to town for a hip hop awards show.

F, GSP to ATL last week cross aisle from Brittany Robertson, the 17 year-old actress in the new movie "Dan in Real Life".

She certainly doesn't look 17. Wow.

Same trip, returning from ORL, saw Alphonso Ribeiro. No Fresh Prince though. A new, bright star and one that has mostly disappeared.

That's interesting... I saw current US Senator Johnny Isakson, (R-GA) on two separate Friday flights from DCA to ATL and he was without any escort. On the first flight he was with a woman going over their schedule for the upcoming weekend and on the second flight he was alone.

John Leguizamo

On DL 149 Nov28. Seat 6G.

He looked immediately familiar and I've seen "Summer of Sam" a few times. All the same, it took me a few hours to identify him.
For the first time I met an actor that looks younger than on film, anyway.

My wife has just reported she is sitting in the seat directly in front of Dominique Wilkins--a.k.a. "The Human Highlight Film on a flight from ATL to PHL.

A couple years ago we were both on a flight with Magic Johnson who, by the way, is an extremely nice guy.

Three more like the above, and we'll have our celebrity sighting hoops team take on any five you want to put on the court.

Saw him recently on a Sunday noontime flight from DCA-ATL. I thought the Rev would be in church! I don't think he had a bodyguard although he was traveling with someone. I've seen him before at DCA with a bevy of very attractive, much taller than he is, ladies.

Former NFL Coach Dennis Green was on my 11/21 SAN-ATL Flight #12. Sitting in First.

The guy I saw him with seemed to be functioning mostly as an assistant, but certainly had the physical stature to serve as a bodyguard, so I wasn't sure what to call him. I would have preferred a sighting similar to your earlier DCA experience!

I should have been more clear, when I saw him recently I don't think he had a bodyguard with him. I'm sure he needs one sometimes though. The guy I saw him with was wearing a suit and they seemed to be conversing as colleagues. However, I really didn't pay much attention.
