I will be flying to DFW on the day and just stay at the airport or might just take the train downtown to a park. I love such cosmic spectacles.

I was referring to the flight also, lol. It's a great view, if. The problem is there's too many ifs.

I flew to Nebraska to see the eclipse in 2017, but it was cloudy that day.

I'll be on a flight DTW - PVG, well north of the center of totality, instead of at home, where I would have been right in the center.

You can likely walk those ten miles faster on that day than most people will be able to drive them.

I experienced that between Wilmington NC and somewhere in SC during 2017. By the way, I'm never allowed back in South Carolina... thanks to a certain other FTer...

I am still over the four-minute mark so I am good. Having said that, I was in Charleston the last time and I thought the concerns were a little overstated. This one hits so many major cities that I think it will spread the crowd out somewhat.
