Desperate times call for desperate measures. Around 5:30 this morning, Hootie (the Lounge Owl™) was put back into service. So far the pigeon has not returned.

Pumpkin and I don't visit CFA, but he certainly loves chicken fingers and fries. Coincidentally, just had Cane's for the first time this past weekend...not impressed. Fresh but very bland. Bleech.

Day 4 of the staycation and working around the house. 18 Rose of Sharon bushes, gone...and ready for composting and wildflower plantings. Day off to a bad start, though, due to a meanie on FB (totally ripped into me for an innocent thread in which she made a crapton of assumptions).

So, I'm hoping that all of you have a Happy Thorsday!

Don't let a keyboard warrior ruin your day. You have the wrath of Thor on your side, FWIW

Good to know. In addition to Pup Cups from CFA, our dog also loves going to Ritter's Frozen Custard (which dogs can eat with no issues).

I did not know about the pup cups. This is a problem though as it removes my excuse for ordering a vanilla milkshake to share with the dog. LOL

Mmm I haven't had a milkshake in a long time. However, my next-door neighbor runs my favorite of the three ice cream shops in town and often gives us free ice cream as soon as it's made. We also support her by going to the shop to buy cones and to try the other flavors we don't get for free. I'm with navi_jen in that I've avoided CFA since long before I stopped eating meat, but I don't want to drive this thread into Bad OMNI so I'll leave it there.

Thanks J

Pumpkin loves his Sbx treat so much that once he can smell the coffee (in the drive thru line) he goes nuts. More than once, he's had his pic taken.

Okay, off to buy a gazillon bags of compost.

Not exactly compost but if you were in the Netherlands you could get some free fertilizer. https://gript.ie/watch-dutch-farmers...ange-measures/

I did not realize they did that.

I know Starbucks does that. Grace is confused by them, but Geno loved them.

even an economist should know that lobster =\= fish

besides, I’m pretty sure Jen is still longing for BOS (and, I think, New England in general), so that aroma — even in compost — probably sparks good memories
