I feel like a "true" Lounge thread "Groan!" is followed by at least one exclamation mark, and sometimes appears in all caps. There is also the lesser category of "sigh".

if we’re going to be literalists, most if not all are USAF retirees; the two who are still Govt civilian employees are actually U.S. Space Force

Talking successful St. Pat’s Day experiment

I started with this recipe; made up the spice mix (reserving a couple tablespoons) and brine and sealed up the meat last Monday afternoon, so it actually marinated for 9 days ... flipped it over in the fridge daily

called Mrs767 as I was on my way home from the airport this afternoon; she rinsed it, put it in the pot, covered it with water, and set it to simmer

when I got home an hour or so later, I put the reserved spices into the pot in an infuser ball, added two cans of Guinness, and let it simmer for another four hours; put the meat on a cutting board to rest (covered w foil) before putting the carrots and quartered red potatoes in the pot ... let those veggies simmer for ~20 min, then added cabbage wedges and onion chunks for ~5 min

Mrs767 made the soda bread while I was on Zoom happy hour with my former USAF colleagues

family consensus is that we won’t buy another corned beef 😎

That still makes everyone AF, or perhaps, DAF (Dept of the Air Force).

I’m up to see my now fully vaccinated parents for the first time since Christmas 2019 and, why yes my Mom is one of those people who end up with an infinite stash of hotel soaps and such in the guest bath. Found this while getting a washcloth-
