I am trying to pickle hard-boiled eggs. I have a jar full of pickle juice and other spices I have added in like paprika and red pepper flakes, so I used some of that.

Indeed. I’ve looked into spending a year in Korea. If I do that I’ll just have to adjust.

That can be applied to just about anything though, and people adapt to their environment. I don't like or eat much seafood, particularly fish. Good thing I wasn't born in a country or region with a heavy seafood/fish/based diet. I imagine if I was, my diet would be different and I'd have to adapt. But that can be further extrapolated. This is a travel forum - for us who enjoy travel, "good thing" our lives have been during an era of affordable and easy travel that allows us to be to another continent in a matter of hours and rather cheaply - good thing we weren't living in an era where such journeys were expensive and could take months to complete.

Not so sure about that - it sounds downright lovely to have had money and time to experience slow luxury travel. Furthermore, it wasn't like you had the opportunity to take too many trips. Just ask the Titanic passengers that were saving for their aspirational retirement trip on the Hindenburg. (I suppose that was a pre-departure ask...)

I've got an offer for the 'Lounge Regulars'.

Hertz has given me the ability to gift President's Circle Status for 1 year (starting 1/1/21) to anyone.
I find it works well. Decent vehicle selection for me, primarily at LGA and JFK. Very competitive pricing when you know how to do it. I do weekly rentals through DL and get 3600 RDM's which is at least a $36 value.
Please don't ask for it if you're not going to use it. If you're interested, PM me.

It’s the first Monday since mid-September without Monday Night Football - the one thing that makes regular Mondays tolerable.

There is an American football game next Monday night. Unfortunately, having lived in both Ohio and Lower Alabama I find both fan bases unbearable. Note that like other schools with large followings, it’s mostly the Wal-Mart fans (those who didn’t attend but bought a school shirt at Wal-Mart) who are most annoying. The alumni tend to be just fine.
