Maybe someone would pick Basic in this situation because it’s a lucky $888?

Good morning from Germany! Went running on a trail this morning and came across this.
https://www.donauplanetenweg.de/en/

We boarded our ship yesterday and will set off down the Danube (Donau) later today.

Neat! I walked part of a similar planetenweg in Zurich about five years ago: https://www.zuerich.com/en/visit/sport/planet-trail

I think we determined we won't overlap? Mom and I are going Bucharest -> Budapest on the Danube starting next week.

That looks neat, but don't think we'll be on that part of the Danube. BTW, where are you sailing from, to. In June, we're doing Nuremberg to Budapest.

the original Planet Walk, dedicated to Carl Sagan, is in Ithaca NY ... he was an Astronomy professor at Cornell; gave a couple guest lectures in my introductory class freshman year

Shh! Don't tell Mr. Kipper. I can use the one in Germany as an excuse to vacation there!

I'll volunteer, as long as I get to tag along on every vacation, at no expense to me, of course.

My department admin, in response to the fire at Notre Dame... "Holy smokes!" I may have about choked on my Samoa, and toasted coconut may have gone up my nose.

Seeing various reactions to ND. No humor, at least not much. Sad. I have been there long time ago. Paris won't be the same.
